Description
Bay Cities is a custom packaging and point-of-purchase display manufacturer that helps Walmart suppliers stand out on the shelf and at the doorstep, with programs built for speed, shopper impact, and retail compliance. The company has manufactured in the U.S. for 70 years, has supported top brands at Walmart for decades, and has operated in Bentonville since the 2000s, with an office built specifically to serve Walmart and its suppliers.
The problem Bay Cities solves is the one every supplier with an in-store program knows: Walmart's calendar does not move. Seasonal pallet programs, endcaps, trendpods, floorstands, feature trains, and signage kits all run against fixed reset dates, and a display still in transit on reset day might as well not exist. Most display programs cross a design shop, a converter, a co-packer, and a freight partner on the way to the store, and every one of those handoffs is a place where a spec can drift and a week can disappear.
Bay Cities collapses that chain into one operation. The company owns its corrugator, sources paper through a direct partnership with New Indy Paper Mill, and runs structural design, ISTA transit testing, digital and flexo print, high-volume production, co-packing, and fulfillment under one roof, with a national footprint that includes a 233,000+ square foot Midwest packout facility. Sustainability is built into the same structure: up to 99 percent post-consumer recycled content, a corrugator powered by the paper mill's own energy, and FSC and SFI certification, so when the sustainability question comes up in a line review, the answer is a spec sheet.
The results carry the story. Bay Cities holds a 98.8 percent average on-time delivery rate, and 80 percent of its clients become repeat clients. When Walmart needed 325 signage kits for its Texas Bowl sponsorship push, Bay Cities designed, produced, and shipped them in a matter of weeks. The portfolio runs through a Pocky holiday gift set and pallet display built to Sam's Club specs and food compliance standards, and reaches back through 70 years of work for brands including Mattel, Neutrogena, and Sony, whose first full pallet display Bay Cities shipped to Costco in the 1980s.
Bay Cities serves 1P suppliers running in-store display and packaging programs, and extends the same integrated operation to custom eCommerce and subscription shippers for omnichannel volume. The company is 100 percent employee-owned, which means the designer, the press operator, and the packout lead all hold equity in the outcome of a supplier's project. Suppliers who engage Bay Cities get a retail execution partner with the structure to answer for the whole program, and a local one: the team is in Bentonville, close enough for the same-day conversation that keeps a program alive.
