Description

Bennett Packaging is a Women-Owned Business that gives Walmart suppliers a single partner for the display, the packaging, and the labor that fills both, all inside one 302,000-square-foot facility in Kansas City.

The problem this solves is coordination. A modular program usually moves through three companies before it reaches a distribution center: one prints the display, another supplies the shelf-ready case, a third assembles and packs it. Every handoff adds freight, lead time, and one more party to chase when the ship window tightens. Moving product between those stops can add close to 40 percent to the freight bill and roughly a week to the distribution cycle, and each additional touch is another chance for damage on an OTIF-graded shipment.

Bennett was founded in 1987 and is one of the largest independent corrugated manufacturers in North America. It designs and builds the full display range suppliers need for Walmart programs: full, half, and quarter pallets, pallet skirts, dump bins, endcaps, PDQ trays, sidekicks and power wings, and specialty signage, alongside shelf-ready packaging, retail packaging, e-commerce boxes, and shipping cases. The company was one of the first in North America to invest in high-speed direct-to-corrugate digital printing and runs two Barberán Jetmaster presses capable of printing up to 196 inches wide, which shortens the path from approved art to production when a reset date moves.

The co-packing side handles case packing, kit packing, POP assembly, shrink wrapping, palletization, high-speed vision inspection, and fulfillment, with real-time online inventory access so supplier teams can see where product sits in the building. The facility holds AIB International certification for food products, has distribution center capability and secured storage for high-value goods, and Bennett is FSC certified. Awards include POPAI OMA honors and a first place in the AICC Indy digital printing competition for a club and grocery pallet skirt.

The company is woman-owned and works across food and beverage, wine and spirits, health, chemical, agricultural, and retail categories. For a supplier running seasonal modulars or a display-driven item launch, the value is a single point of accountability from the structural design through the pallet that leaves the dock.
