Description

Patrick Sheets has spent more than twenty-three years at Avery Dennison, working through nearly every part of the company's product development, account management, and RFID solution engineering organizations.

He started at Avery Dennison in 2002 as a Customer Service Representative handling the Target, LL Bean, New Balance, Malden Mills (Polartec), and Shopko/Pamida accounts. From 2004 to 2013, he worked in Global Product Development, building printed products for Avery Dennison locations worldwide, deploying art files and specifications globally, and supporting print buyers across regions. From 2008 to 2013, in Customer Product Development based in Greensboro, he held responsibility for the VF Jeanswear, VF Imagewear, and VF Licensed Sportswear Group accounts and contributed to an annual sales quota of more than $12 million, managing the new product development process from concept to final customer approval and coordinating global supply chains across VF's procurement teams in Panama and Greensboro.

From 2013 to 2018, he served as Blended Solutions Project Manager and Variable Data Specialist Manager, leading cross-functional teams to deploy variable data programs to production locations globally. From 2015 to 2018 he ran the Strategic Account Manager and Regional Commercial Manager role for the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point area, covering Avery Dennison RBIS's apparel and footwear branding work, including the proprietary RFID-enabled inventory and brand security technology that anchored the apparel side of the business. From 2018 to 2019, he served as South East Territory Manager for Avery Dennison's Fasteners Division.

In August 2019, Patrick moved into the part of the business that has defined his career since: RFID for food. As Market Development Manager for Food Supply Chain RFID, then RFID Development Project Engineer, then RFID Project Engineer Manager from 2023 to 2024, he was responsible for the end-to-end solution development and execution of RFID deployments, leading inlay selection and validation, label construction, hardware and software requirements, site readiness, and pilot deployment work in close coordination with the Avery Dennison sales, design and deployment, atma.io, applicator, RFID lab, and service bureau teams. He took a brief stint at WestRock as an Innovation Manager in 2021 before returning to Avery Dennison.

In August 2024, Patrick became Commercial Technical Lead for the Food Market. He owns the technical work behind Avery Dennison's first-of-its-kind RFID innovation for Meat, Bakery, and Deli at Walmart, leading the inlay validation, packaging testing, and pilot deployment work that turns the food RFID solution from a concept into something that actually performs at a Walmart distribution center and on a Walmart shelf.
