Description

Tim Argenas was the 17th person hired at a little-known Denver startup called Ibotta. He spent the next eight years helping build it into one of the most widely used retail marketing platforms in the country, accounting for more than $13 billion in annual consumer spending.

What that journey required, more than anything else, was the ability to walk into a room with major CPG brands and earn their trust. Tim did that repeatedly, from Denver and then from Bentonville, where he relocated in 2016 to be closer to the Walmart supplier community he was serving. He built partnerships with Colgate-Palmolive, Procter & Gamble, Kellogg's, Chobani, Dannon, GlaxoSmithKline, and Johnson & Johnson. He hit 120% of quota in 2018, 115% in 2019, 122% in 2020, and 133% in 2021. He eventually led Ibotta's Partnership Development team, ten sales and account management professionals working to expand a book of 700+ new and emerging CPG brands. He hired five of those team members himself, and within a year they were exceeding quota by double digits in three consecutive quarters.

Before Ibotta, he spent nearly four years at Boar's Head managing retail strategy and distribution across the Central region. Before that, a sales leadership development program in Sarasota. Tim has been building from the ground up his entire career.

That is who Walmart suppliers get when they call GENESISX.
