Walmart+ Adds 25 Free Monthly Photo Prints and a Quarterly Money Center Fee Waiver

Walmart added two benefits to Walmart+ on August 14. Members now receive 25 free 4×6 prints from the Photo Center each calendar month, and Walmart will waive the customer fee on one Money Center transaction each quarter. Walmart presented the two as joining its existing Auto Care Center tire benefits, and grouped all of them under a single label, In-Store Perks, which appears as its own tile in the benefit lineup on Walmart.com.

Walmart’s Walmart+ Terms of Use, last updated July 27, spell out how the print benefit works. Prints can be claimed in one transaction or spread across the month. Unused prints do not carry forward, so the 300 prints a year Walmart advertises depends on a member redeeming in all twelve months. The terms list the benefit as available at stores with a Photo Center or online, the only In-Store Perk the document does not confine to a store.

Walmart will waive the applicable money services customer fee on one transaction per calendar quarter, with quarters running January through March, April through June, July through September, and October through December. Rapid Reload, Card Cashing and eCash Out services are excluded, as are fees Walmart does not itself charge. Foreign exchange costs and taxes remain the member’s, so an international transfer sheds Walmart’s fee and nothing more. The announcement lists check cashing, money orders, money transfer sends, bill payments and eCash loading among the qualifying services. Walmart’s Money Center page says service availability, requirements and fees vary by location and provider.

Walmart+ covers unlimited tire repair at what Walmart describes as more than 2,500 Auto Care Centers nationwide, and the terms state that members do not have to own the tire or the vehicle to use it. The road hazard warranty applies only to tires bought and installed at a Walmart Auto Care Center, requires a QR scan at the time of purchase and installation, and is not available in New York. Both benefits are limited to passenger cars, light trucks, minivans, small RVs and crossovers.

Redemption runs through the app at the register. Members open the Walmart+ benefits page, show the barcode to an associate before paying, and the terms state that a benefit cannot be applied once payment has gone through. A returned print order or a cancelled money transfer does not restore the redemption.

The terms also list a benefit that does not appear in the August 14 announcement: $25 off an eligible oil change once a year for eligible annual members, redeemed the same way at participating Auto Care Centers. It sits in the section covering benefits Walmart is piloting, which the company can limit to members it selects and can modify or discontinue without notice. The Pit Crew conventional oil change option and customer-provided oil are excluded.

In first-quarter fiscal 2027 results reported May 21, Walmart said membership fee revenue in its Walmart U.S. segment grew double digits, with net additions at a record first-quarter high, and named Walmart+ growth among the drivers of segment adjusted operating income. Walmart does not disclose Walmart+ membership counts or redemption rates for individual benefits. Second-quarter results arrive Thursday, August 20.

Walmart+ costs $98 a year or $12.95 a month, with a $49 annual rate for qualifying government assistance recipients and college students. Most of what that buys arrives at the door: free delivery on eligible orders over $35, free pharmacy delivery, free shipping with no order minimum. The In-Store Perks tile is the newest line in that list, and under the same terms that define it, Walmart may add or discontinue any Walmart+ benefit at its discretion.
