One of the biggest announcements from the summit was the expansion of next-day delivery through Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS). The program now covers major metro areas including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Houston, and Atlanta. The rollout will begin with some of the most popular items on Walmart’s e-commerce platform.
This move gives sellers more ways to compete by offering faster delivery to customers while relying on Walmart’s logistics network.
Walmart also introduced a set of new technology tools designed to make it easier for sellers to manage their businesses. These include an AI-powered listing tool that simplifies both single and bulk item setup, a Smart Assistant that provides 24/7 real-time support, and enhanced shipping settings that allow self-fulfilling sellers to make faster and more accurate delivery promises.
To strengthen trust across the marketplace, Walmart refreshed its Brand Portal, giving sellers better tools to protect product authenticity and ensure a safe shopping experience for customers.
To prepare sellers for the holiday rush, Walmart announced a series of referral fee reductions. These include:
These incentives lower costs for sellers in highly competitive categories during the most important shopping season of the year.
Walmart is also expanding international opportunities. Marketplace sellers now have access to customers in Canada, Mexico, and Chile, creating new cross-border growth potential.
In addition, Walmart highlighted its Multichannel Solutions program, which allows sellers to use WFS to fulfill orders placed not only on Walmart.com but also through their own websites and other marketplaces. New users will receive a thirty percent discount on fulfillment fees.
Another step toward integrating digital and physical retail is Walmart’s plan to showcase select Marketplace products inside its stores. Building on a pilot in Cypress, Texas, the retailer is displaying items that can be purchased through the Walmart app, with the option for professional installation in certain cases.
This approach blends the scale of Walmart’s store network with the expanded assortment of its online marketplace.
The Let’s Grow! Seller Summit took place this week in San Diego, running from August 25 to 27. The in-person event featured general sessions, breakout discussions, and networking opportunities. Attendees were also offered exclusive promotions on shipping and referral fees, valid through the end of 2025, to help them capture more sales in the months ahead.
The 2025 summit demonstrated Walmart’s commitment to building a stronger, more supportive environment for Marketplace sellers. By combining faster fulfillment, smarter technology, global reach, and meaningful incentives, Walmart is positioning its platform as one of the most attractive places for third-party sellers to grow their businesses.
